Task 2 – Artistic Styles

Create a report that explores these four different artistic styles found in games:

Task 2 – Artistic Styles

PHOTOREALISM- photorealism is when a painting looks as good as the photo it was copied from. Like in modern games the graphics have improved so much that the characters in the games look like real people.

CELL SHADING- Cell shading or toon shading is a type of non-photorealistic rendering designed to make computer graphics appear to be hand-drawn. Cell-shading is often used to mimic the style of a comic book or cartoon

ABSTRACTION- this is when a game does not look like anything it is just a bunch or random shapes for example Tetris is just made up of random coloured blocks.

EXAGGERATION- is when games are out of this world for example some of the fighting game from japan they have fighters that have the head of tigers and lions and they fight humans.
